Privacy Policy
Padel Matches

This policy explains how Padel Matches, developed by Alexander Austin ("we", "us"), handles your information.
What the app stores
Padel Matches lets you run padel tournaments and track match scores. To do that, it saves the following on your device:
- Tournament details: names, formats, number of courts and the date created.
- Player and team names you enter, including saved "regular" players and teams.
- Match results: scores, rounds, courts and point-by-point logs.
- App settings, such as theme and round limits.
Player names can be whatever you choose to type, such as first names, nicknames or initials. You don't have to use real names.
Where your data goes
Nowhere. All data is held in a local database on your device. The app doesn't connect to the internet, has no user accounts, and sends no data to us or anyone else. We cannot see, access or recover your data.
What the app does not do
- No analytics, tracking or crash reporting.
- No advertising or advertising identifiers.
- No access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone or photos.
- No sharing or selling of data to third parties.
Device features
During a live match the app keeps your screen awake so the score stays visible. It does not use this to collect any information.
Backups
Your operating system may include the app's data in device backups (for example, Android or iCloud backup), depending on your device settings. Any such backup is handled by your platform provider under their own privacy policy, not by us.
Data retention and security
Your data stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Because none of it is sent to us, we have no servers holding your data and nothing for us to retain. The data on your device is protected by your operating system's app storage protections.
Deleting your data
You can delete tournaments, players and teams inside the app at any time. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage in your device settings, permanently removes all of its data.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no personal information, it does not knowingly collect data from children.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, data protection laws (such as the GDPR in Europe and the UK, POPIA in South Africa, and state privacy laws in the United States) may give you rights to access, correct or delete your personal information. Because we do not collect or hold any of your data, there is nothing for us to access or delete on our side, but you can contact us with any request and we will respond. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
